- Abstract
The article discusses building-related renewable energy (BRRE), greenhouse gas mitigation, and an analysis of the 360 State Street mixed-use Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum project in New Haven, Connecticut. The negative environmental impacts of buildings are addressed in relation to energy consumption and electricity use. Renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and geothermal power are mentioned. Fuel cells, urban renewal, and microgrids are examined.
