- Abstract
The article focuses on the lead plaintiffs provisions of Private Securities Litigation Reform Act in securities class sections in the U.S. The author relates on the history of the provision by citing the questions that he and professor John Beckerman raised that led to the development of an article that became the basis of the provision. It also traces the how the article reached the Senate Committee, its deliberation and finally its enactment into law and discusses post-enactment developments that coincides with the author's and Beckerman's expectations. Moreover, the author presents recommendations for changes in the provision.
