- Abstract
The article presents a study on the risk factors for Alzheimer's disease (AD) in pregnancies. It investigates whether a higher exposure to endogenous estrogens is associated with lower risk of dementia or not, as well as head traumas as possible risk factor for the disease and if the educational level is considered as a protective factor for AD. Furthermore, it studies 204 women affected by AD and 201 age-matched women without nerve diseases. It concludes that the risk of developing the disease with the number of pregnancies.
