The article reports the decision of the U.S. Supreme Court case 'Oregon v. Smith' concerning Free Exercise Clause in which the court held that state could deny unemployment benefits to a person fired for violating a state prohibition on the use of peyote. Topics discussed include the Court's decision in the case 'Michigan v. Long'; the U.S. court case 'Reynolds v. United States' on the First Amendment's Free Exercise Clause; and the Supreme Court case 'Davis v. Beason.'
