- Abstract
The article analyzes the decision of the State of Connecticut to bring an action against the U.S. government for the unfunded mandates associated with No Child Left Behind (NCLB) and focuses on what NCLB requires. According to the author, the state's reputation as the Education State should be applauded. However, the fact remains that the State has been criticized for its voluntary acceptance of the funds.
