- Abstract
Based on morphological edge detection technology a fusion algorithm to improve imaging quality of ladar range image is proposed in this paper. The algorithm uses a generalized anti-noise dilation edge detection operator to extract the coordinates and amplitude of a target edge from a range image. After finding the uncertain points near the range image edge the ratio algorithm is used to make the above uncertain points and the corresponding intensity information fused. In the laser radar image processing stage the lost detail information in the range image is restored, which makes the distance accuracy and signal to noise ratio (SNR) of laser radar system increased.
