- Abstract
The article presents information on a study that determines the risk of developing human rickettsia aeschlimannii infection in La Rioja, Spain. According to the study, the prevalence of infection with rickettsia aeschlimannii within hyalomma marginatum is very low in La Rioja. According to the study, it is possible that some spotted fever rickettsiosis diagnosed after tick bite are caused by rickettsia in the environment.
