A 57-year-old man presented with a 6-month history of recurrent episodes of abdominal pain, diarrhea and hematochezia, and 5-kg weight loss. Based on clinical, endoscopic and histologic findings, the patient was diagnosed with Cronkhite-Canada syndrome (CCS). Subsequently, prednisolone was initiated at a daily dose of 30 mg and his symptoms improved gradually during the following month.
