- Abstract
The article presents a study which describes the new species of felicola (Phthiraptera: Ischnocera: trichodectidae) from the forest giant pouched rat in Bawa, Cameroon. Chewing lice that infested forest giant pouched rats were collected and soft tissues were dissolved with a 20% aqueous solution of potassium hydroxide. Analysis of the specimen revealed that the new species Felicola rodentestris were most morphologically similar to Felicola hopkinsi found in Uganda.
