- Abstract
The article presents the results of an information technology (IT) security survey conducted by the periodical "Government Technology" in the U.S. in January 2008. It found that almost 60% of government agencies have created a chief information security officer (CISO) position. It is cited that more than 40% of respondents lacked knowledge if the volume of cyber-security attacks against organizations had changed over the past two years. It shows that 72% identified external hackers as their biggest security threat.
