Policy for SEND and Inclusion: examining UK national and some European differences.
- Abstract
The article compares the education systems in different countries such as Netherlands and Spain and discusses policy for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Great Britain education system. Topics discussed include need to promote greater inclusion at national policy level; role of local government/middle tier and other organizations in promoting inclusion; and accountability system work and its influence on inclusive education practice.
