- Abstract
The article discusses research which used a regression time series analysis in determining the impact of launching an after-hours general practice clinic (AHC), located in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, on the number of patients presented to emergency department (ED). It states the relationship between the opening of the clinic and the rise in the presentations of patients at the ED, who were placed at the Australasian Triage Scale (ATS) category 1 to 3. It is noted that patient satisfaction may grow as a result of general practice clinics.
