- Abstract
In the article, the authors discuss the possible strategies for U.S. states and managed care organizations (MCO) in addressing sexually transmitted infections (STI) like gonorrhea, syphilis and chlamydia, particularly the use of Medicaid programs. Topics include the high medical costs for treating STIs and the project advanced by George Washington University School of Public Health to expand access to STI screening.
