- Abstract
A literary criticism is presented on several works by Chicano (who are referred to as Chicano/a) immigrant authors, including "Under the Feet of Jesus," by Helena María Viramontes, "...Y no se lo tragó la tierra (...and the Earth Did Not Devour Him)," by Tomás Rivera and "Peregrinos de Aztlán (Pilgrims From Aztlán)," by Miguel Méndez. Particular focus is given to the cognitive mapping within Chicano literature.
