- Abstract
The article discusses a framework that the authors created that will allow teachers to better instruct their elementary school students in the linguistic and structural aspects of crafting informational school reports. On the framework are a number of categories that deal with labels, fact statements, fact lists, couplets, fact list collection, couplet collection, single and unordered paragraphs, and ordered paragraphs, all of which can appear in elementary students' writings. The use of the scaffolding teaching method is considered as is how teachers can encourage their students to further their writing skills.
