Illustrates the views of Indians regarding technology and the effect of Indian culture on their perception of machines. Efforts to keep science and religion apart as reflected by the lack of temples or places of worship within the premises of the Indian Institute of Science; Information on the Ayudha Puja festival, wherein puja, a set of rituals in offering prayers and worship, is offered to any piece of machinery, as a proof of the relation between culture and technology; Explanations for the practice of offering puja to machines.
