- Abstract
The article describes the case of symptomatic C2-3 instability in an elderly man with a longstanding atlantoaxial immobility. The C2-C3 joint seldom creates myelopathy due to the only one of its kind anatomical traits of C2, which is the distinct morphology of the face joint, the wider spinal canal space at this level, and the posterior muscular support at this joint.
