- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the toxicological effect of dissolved copper on the banana prawn Penaeus merguiensis and the leader prawn Penaeus monodon. The study uses anodic stripping voltammetry (ASV), diluted nitric acid and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICPAES) to analyze copper concentration on the two species. Results show that dissolved copper has acute toxic effect on P. merguiensis and P. monodon.
