- Abstract
The article focuses on a study aims to follow the degradation of nitrofen in soil as affected by green manure amendment and flooding under semi-tropical conditions. The study used vertisol soil the experimental field in Bombay, India and done autoclaving of sterilized soil samples. The study found that the nitrofen did not undergo any degradation in sterilized moist soil and thin layer chromatography (TLC) runs of the extractable residues mostly of the activity in parent compound form.
