- Abstract
The article presents a study on the concentration levels of cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), mercury (Hg) and lead (Pb) in 57 finger-paints and 29 make-up paints. The study used graphite-furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS) to analyze the metal content of paint samples. Results indicate that an individual who uses make-up and finger-paints may be chronically exposed to poisonous metals including Pb and Cr.
