- Abstract
The article presents a study which investigates the disposition of acetaldehyde and ethanol in the fetal and maternal blood, and amniotic fluid of pregnant rats. The study uses Shimazu 6 A's head-space technique gas chromatograph for the centrifugation of acetaldehyde and ethanol, and Mann-Whitney test for statistical analysis. Results show that the ethanol's disposition in amniotic fluid and maternal blood followed by acute single-dose's maternal administration on rats is differential.
