- Abstract
The article presents a study which evaluates the survival of Northern bobwhites (Colinus virginianus) in an agricultural area receiving repeated applications of pesticide. The study made was conducted at the Wildmeade Plantation near Leary, Calhoun County, Georgia which was comprises of nearly 2023 hectares of pine-hardwood forest. The result of the study shows that the bird use of adjacent areas and croplands varied widely between crop types and years.
