- Abstract
The article discusses decisions of the National Labor Relations Board in the Browning-Ferris Industries of California Inc. case related to joint employer rules. It states that decision shocked the business community, especially the businesses that rely heavily on a contingent workforce, and mentions that pertinence of the case of Hy-Brand Industrial Contractors, Ltd. Browning-Ferris decision prompted legislation in both houses of Congress to overrule its overbroad joint employer standard.
