- Title
The relationship between rainfall inputs and flood generation in south--east Spain.
- Authors

- Abstract
This article discusses the relationship between floods and rainfall intensity and duration in southeast Spain. According to the authors, floods may be produced by long duration, low intensity rainfall or high intensity, short duration storms. Most storms in the area were of relatively short duration. They concluded that rainfall intensity is less correlated to floods than total rainfall occurring in a rainfall spell. They found it difficult to generalize about the importance of rainfall intensity because the complexity of storm rainfall increases with the storm total.
