- Abstract
The article looks at the growth of the study of emergence amid the expansion of the science of complex systems. Scientists, philosophers and other disciplines have embraced the study. The author revisits the properties of the concept of emergence which include radical novelty and coherence. The privation of imagination in order to proceed in re-imagining emergence is discussed. The article also explores the arrival of classifications, typologies and taxonomies for categorizing the phenomena.
