An editorial is presented on the history of medicine in Persia. It expresses views on various forms of diseases which include melancholia, conversion disorders, and false pregnancy. An overview of various neurological and psychiatric disorders is presented in the book Hidayat al-Mutaallemin fi al-Tibb (Learner's Guide to Medicine) written by Akhawayani Bokhari.
