Title
Anxiety frequently mistaken for agitation in Alzheimer's.
Abstract
The article focuses on the prevalence of anxiety symptoms among patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD). Specialists in anxiety disorders are concerned that clinicians and caregivers who assess patients with AD are failing to recognize anxiety symptoms, often mistaking them instead for agitation. They suggest the use of a more effective tool for detecting anxiety symptoms in patients with AD.
