- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the differences between the features of deep gray matter lesions on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM), multiple sclerosis (MS), and neuromyelitis optica (NMO). Deep gray matter lesions in 95 adult patients with ADEM, MS and NMO were assessed. Prevalence of putamen involvement in patients with ADEM were found to be higher than in patients with MS and NMO.
