- Title
Will the UK recovery outpace other major economies?
- Abstract
The article examines whether the British economic recovery will outpace other major economies. It discusses the impact of the crisis in the banking sector on major economies. Surveys of confidence have greatly improved, leading to a significant rally in global equity markets and a notable decline in financial stress levels. Due to the popularity of variable rate mortgages and high levels of home ownership, British consumers will benefit more than most from low interest rates.
