An essay is presented on the vitalist influence in the work of Peruvian artistic revolutionaries Antenor Orrego and César Vallejo. It analyzes Orrego's key philosophic texts and correspondence with Vallejo. It examines Vallejo's sensibility which serves as the basis for revolutionary change in Peru. It also discusses how both poets cultivate an open aesthetic process through the incorporation of vitalist philosophy into their prose and poetry.
