After the 1920s writings of Suat Derviş were published in various newspapers and magazines. She assumed journalism as a profession in 1932 and her novels continued to be published in the newspapers and magazines in these years. Suat Derviş's journalist identity was overshadowed by her political identity and this has not been analysed enough so far. Over the interviews made by Derviş, her stance as a female journalist and the issues depicted by those who were given a voice in the Daily Cumhuriyet in the mentioned period will be discussed. The aim of the study is to contribute to labor history of the early Republican era.
