- Abstract
The article discusses the issues concerning the regulations on the ethnic and racial statistics for research purposes in France. It examines the principles of race equality and indivisibility in the Article 1 of the French Constitution and the country's implication of citizenship. It explores the violations on several human rights including right of privacy, family reunification and human dignity. It also highlights the careful consideration on the proper use of ethnic and racial data as they might result to conflict and dispute.
