- Abstract
The article focuses on the development of the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center (JCCC) model to eliminate domestic violence homicides in Newburyport, Massachusetts in 2012. The model is rooted in solid research and uses proven and effective tactics to keep victims of domestic violence alive and safe. The JCCC approach has virtually eradicated domestic violence homicides in the community of Massachusetts where it originated with the use of multidisciplinary team model. In addition, the program has been made available to be replicated in communities across the country.
