- Abstract
The article presents a study on the characterization and synthesis of a thermoset resin based on a lactic acid (LA) that can be used for structural composites and coatings. This resin is composed of methacrylated oligomers of LA. These oligomers were synthesized in two processes, namely direct condensation of LA and end-functionalization by methacrylic anhydride. The resin was characterized by calorimetry, Raman spectroscopy, differential scanning and rubber process analyzer.
