- Abstract
The article discusses a study which determined how microcompounding conditions affect the morphology of acylonitrile-butadiene-styrene/polyamide-6 (ABS/PA6) blends. The effects of microcompounding process are examined including screw speed, rotation-mode, and clay loading level through scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Coarser morphology of the blends was noted during counter-rotation while diffraction analysis showed the highest exfoliation levels with increasing PA6 content.
