- Abstract
The article discusses how extended hours of haemodialysis may improve the clinical outcome of patients without increasing the cost. It describes haemodialysis as a hardly available and very expensive form of renal replacement therapy. It also mentions how the patients on the extended duration program manifested significant improvement in terms of overall clinical condition. It concludes that prolonging the duration of dialysis for those with inadequate treatment may improve the overall patient outcome without any additional cost.
