- Abstract
The article explores the language conduit theory, which is the idea that an interpreter is merely a transmitter of information across a language barrier. It mentions idea is either embraced or rejected include the Confrontation Clause issues and hearsay issues. It also mentions how the role and function of an interpreter can affect legal proceedings by examining a recent circuit split and courtroom interpreters that strikes an equitable balance between the two disciplines.
