The article presents a speech by Professor of political science at the College of St. Benedict James H. Read, delivered at a symposium, in which the keynote address was expressed by Professor Sanford Levinson on the revival of nullification and secession. Topics discussed announcement of judicial supremacy in the Supreme Court case Cooper v. Aaron, Supreme Court's decision in Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka and Missouri Governor Jay Nixon's attempt to nullify a federal firearms law.
