- Authors
Molina, Eugenia
- Abstract
The article explores the historiography of Argentina in the 200 years since the Argentine War of Independence, which began with the May Revolution of 1810. In honor of the bicentennial celebrations marking this event, the author discusses the nature of the country's historiography, including the study of social, economic and political conditions over the years after Argentina gained independence from Spain. Specific attention is given to what the author calls Argentina's revolutionary process, which she claims cannot be truly understood without a greater understanding of the international conditions of the time.
