- Abstract
This article discusses the involvement of American Jews in activism for Palestinian rights. It highlights that many American Jews who support Palestinian solidarity movements do so because of their Jewish identity and values, rather than in spite of them. These activists often grapple with the inconsistency between their beliefs and Israeli policies they do not support. Their activism takes various forms, such as protests, forming anti-Zionist synagogues, and rewriting Jewish liturgy. The article also explores how the cultural memory of the Holocaust and the concept of "Never Again" inspire some American Jews to advocate for Palestinian rights. These activists aim to challenge discriminatory and violent policies and uphold universal humanist values.
