- Authors
PEEBLES, GRAHAM
- Abstract
The article discusses the growing wealth and income inequality in the world, with a small number of individuals becoming obscenely rich while the majority of people live in poverty or economic hardship. The statistics show that the number of billionaires has increased, mostly consisting of men, while women and marginalized groups are disproportionately affected by poverty. The article also highlights the record profits of corporations alongside the struggles of the majority, and emphasizes the various forms of inequality that result from financial inequality. It argues for a shift towards sharing and a simpler way of living to address these issues.
