The article discusses the need for a decolonial approach to the Green New Deal and environmentalism. It argues that simply replacing Columbus Day with Indigenous Peoples Day is not enough to address the systemic issues that lead to environmental destruction and the exploitation of indigenous peoples, and suggests that we need to reposition ourselves as part of nature and engage in constant learning, reflection, and mutual consent and trust to create a more sustainable and just world.
