- Abstract
The article focuses on the National Child Passenger Safety Week which highlights the importance of ensuring the safety of children in vehicles. The U.S. Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) offers results on its Second Injury Control and Risk Survey (ICARIS-2) on children who rode in a vehicle without the use of a safety seat. The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the CDC advise using child safety seats for children up to 8 years old.
