- Abstract
An essay is presented on centering prison abolition in women's, gender, and sexuality studies. Topics include privatization and the reorientation of the university toward profit generation having justified cuts in public funding, producing a massive budget crisis, tuition increases, growing student debt, and unmaking of the public university stated to have coincided with what professor Ruth Wilson Gilmore has identified as the largest prison-building project in the history of the world.
