- Abstract
The article reviews the poem "Arion" by nineteenth-century novelist George Eliot. The work is an adaptation of "The Histories" of Herodotus of the story of ancient Greek poet Arion found in book 1, chapter 24. Topics include fame and celebrity, literary influence, art and literature, as well as a biographical study of Eliot at the time she wrote the poem.
