- Abstract
The article explores the importance of mandatory mediation and arbitration in election disputes. It describes the positive and negative effects of alleviating some of the repercussions associated with the litigation of election disputes on the courts and electorate. It provides an example which depicts the need for a federal statute mandating the use of mediation and arbitration in election disputes and explains how it maintains the positive effects of election mitigation.
