- Abstract
The article analyses certain changes that have occurred in the game of Lacrosse as a result of the North American Indians' contact with the Europeans. It also examines relationship of these modifications to the shifting politico-eoonomic framework native Americans. It is concluded that the skills and traits developed through lacrosse and its trainings were associated with value to the Indians in terms of economy and combat.
