- Abstract
Taking a college dormitory building as the research object, the fire process of the dormitory, with different smoke exhaust rates and fire source power, was studied by using the FDS fire simulation software and combining qualitative analysis with dynamic simulation. The variation of environmental parameters of college dormitory fire was studied from different angles, such as smoke diffusion laws, visibility and Co concentration distributions. Results show that the rule of smoke spreading and diffusion is similar under different fire power, and the installation of mechanical smoke exhaust device can obviously reduce the amount of smoke, delay the diffusion of smoke, and contribute to the safe evacuation of personnel under the same power. According to the characteristics of fire risk distribution, fire-fighting facilities, including the fire alarm system, mechanical smoke exhaust device and automatic sprinkler system, can be installed in multistoried buildings, such as dormitories. At the same time, fire safety education and training and fire emergency drills are supposed to be intensified to improve the ability to deal with sudden fire accidents.
