SUBSTANCES capable of inhibiting specifically the formation of viruses are of obvious practical and theoretical interest. In the case of plant viruses, the composition of which are relatively simple and known, the opportunity exists of correlating the structure of an inhibitor with that of virus constituents and thereby gaining some insight into the problem of the biosynthesis of virus.
