- Abstract
A drive consisting of continuously rotating friction tires is used to force the uninterrupted movement of containers on the loading and unloading sections of a containerized pneumatic transport system. A method is devised to determine the number of containers in the system, and another method is developed to describe the motion of particles of the cargo in order to determine the angular velocity of the containers. A formula is presented to determine the terminal velocity of a continuously moving container train in the transport tube of the system. A tube-based transportation system is proposed for transporting workers from quarry to factory—the pneumatic transport system of tomorrow.
